"Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh and anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God." Ether 12:4

Happy B Day Alex!

Hi all!
Yesterday was Alex's 16th birthday. We had a little party for him at home, and guess who was there to celebrate (or sit in a chair and feel sick)? Dad was, that's who.

After making good progress at the hospital, the doctor said dad could come home last night. Just as mom was filling out the discharge paperwork, dad got "sick" and we thought for a while he was staying the night again. His doctor, however, let him come home still, but it's been a rough evening and night. For right now, we're not sure what's going to happen in the next day, but at least until early afternoon today, Friday, we ask that no one come to visit.
We apologize - we know you love him and want to share him too, but now is not the best time. We will post again this afternoon how things stand at the Loser home.
Thank you again for your love and support,
The Losers

Happy Birthday yesterday Alex! I love you! Enjoy the freedom of a car. Benj, don't let him get too crazy! Thank you Nichole, Adam and Rachel for keeping us updated. I'm an information junkie and I can't get enough. Rick, I'm glad you're home my brother. Take it easy and go slow. I know that's not your usual method but give it a try. I truly love you and Michelle. Hold eachother tight. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Hugs and Kisses,
Catherine

Happy Birthday Alex!

Richard,

I will never forget Trek 2007 when we were all packed up and heading back to the bus. You stood in your handcart and waved the flag and exclaimed, "Hoorah for Israel, Hoorah for Israel!" We all joined in in a collective exclamation of our conviction. This exemplified your strong testimony and example. It was a crowning moment for us all.

Thanks for your amazing example to the youth of our ward, especially to our deacon sons. As I have worked with you in YM/YW I have seen you reaching out to so many and buoying them up. You are adored and admired. You are a true "standard for the truth." Hang in there brother, we love you and are praying for you. Alma 26:12.

Michelle,
We love you!

With Love,
Pam Reschke and gang

Hey,
Jill and I held each other tight this morning and wept. We can't fully imagine what you must be going through. We know however, as do you, that a kind and loving Father in Heaven does, and as we turn to Him in times of great challenge, He understands and, through the Savior, is there to comfort. We pray for you, we know He will sit by your side through it all. Rest well, see you soon.
Love Tracy & Jill

Rick,
Alex and I attended the temple yesterday and put your name and family on the prayer roll. I know it has been years since we saw each other and you may not even remember me or Alex. We have been praying for you and your family and know that Heavenly Father will be there for all of you. He is my strength in times of trials. I honestly don't know what I would do without this knowledge.
You may not know that I married Alex Tubbs. He was also at Ricks the same year. We were both from Alaska but didn't meet until we went to Ricks. He served a mission in Guatamala with Layne Lee. He is now serving as Bishop which keeps him very busy. He lost his youngest brother a year ago to colon and liver cancer. It was a tough time but the Lord sustains us when we keep his commandments and call on him.
I didn't mean to write a sermon, but just wanted to send my wishes with everyone else. We will continue to pray for you and your family. Lynnette and Alex

Bro Lo,
Hey, from the first time I met you I was impressed, not only were you a Scoutmaster extraordnaire, but a Californian, a former Bishop, one truly knowledgeable about the Gospel, but also one who lives by its principles. So much so you even befriended ME Bro Do!!!
I love your dedication to "your boys" the scouts even when you were having your problems, there you were up at Scout camp!!!! Love you "mucho" Bro Lo.
